Booking Overview - Creating Your First Event
Introduction
Welcome to this guide on PatientBase Booking! This video will show you how to set up your booking section for scheduling appointments such as discovery calls, coaching calls, and one-on-one meetings. PatientBase Booking provides an easy-to-use booking widget that can be integrated into your website.
Step 1: Access the Booking Section
- To get started with PatientBase Booking, click on the booking icon at the top of the page. You will see different options such as booking schedules, operators, and services.
Step 2: Create an Event
- Click on "Create an event" to set up your first booking event. Enter a name for the event, add a description, and provide a location. You can also send an email to the client with the details about the meeting to ensure that they receive the necessary information.
Step 3: Add an Operator
- Add an operator or multiple operators to your event. An operator can be a practitioner or anyone responsible for conducting the appointment. Provide their name, a description of their role, and an image that will show up on the booking widget.
Step 4: Connect to Google Calendar
- PatientBase Booking has integration with Google Calendar, which allows you to connect your Google Calendar to Patient Base. This will prevent booking appointments when you have other events booked in your calendar. Click on "Sign in" and follow the steps to connect your Google calendar.
Step 5: Set Up Availability
- Set up your availability for the event. PatientBase Booking will check your availability and show the available time slots to clients. You can also set up exclusions such as holidays or other events that will override your availability.
Step 6: Add Services
- If you have multiple services, you can add them to your booking widget. You can create a name for each service, set the duration, and add a description.
Step 7: Customize Form Fields
- Customize the form fields that clients need to fill out to book an appointment. You can add fields such as name, email, phone, website, and accept terms. This will allow you to collect the necessary information before the appointment.
Step 8: Confirm and Save
- Confirm your settings, add a confirmation message, and choose a custom page if necessary. Click "Save" to complete the process.
Step 9: Add a Booking Widget
- To add the booking widget to your website, go to the design section, select the page where you want to add the widget and add an empty block. Then, select the booking widget and choose the event that you created earlier. Customize the layout and styling of the widget as needed.
