Setting Up Course Drip and Course Completion

Note: To activate these features for your course(s), please get in touch with support using our in-app help ticket.

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up course drip and course completion for your courses on PatientBase. With this feature, you can control when modules become accessible to users after they enroll, ensuring a structured learning path. By following this guide, you’ll be able to provide a tailored course experience, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Request Course Drip Activation

• Reach out to PatientBase Support with a request to activate the course drip and course completion features for your course.

• Mention that you have a course ready and would like to enable the drip functionality if it is not yet activated.

• Once activated, users will be able to mark steps as complete, and modules will be released based on the time settings you define.

Step 2: Set Up Course Drip Timing

• After activation, you can determine when each module becomes accessible to users by specifying the number of days in the settings.

• To do this, add the desired number of days in the settings field next to each module, using squiggly brackets {} to indicate the timing.

Example:

• If you set a module to {7}, the module will become available to users seven days after they enroll in the course.

• To adjust, simply change the number of days. For instance, changing {7} to {1} means the module will unlock one day after a user enrolls.

Step 3: Previewing Module Access

• After updating the timing, refresh and preview the course to ensure the settings are applied correctly.

• Users will only have access to modules as per the days set. For example, if a user signed up three days ago and a module is set to {1}, the module will be available to them now.

Step 4: Understanding Automatic Course Completion

• Course completion functionality is automatically enabled once the drip feature is active.

• Users can mark steps as complete as they progress through the course. This helps both you and the users keep track of their progress.

Step 5: Modifying Drip Settings

• You can adjust the drip schedule as needed, even after the course is live.

• Make changes directly in the settings, refresh, and the changes will take effect immediately, giving you the flexibility to adapt the course pace based on user feedback or course updates.
