How to Upload and Embed Videos

Integrating video content into your PatientBase platform enhances the dynamic appeal and engagement of your website, funnels, and courses. Whether you're aiming to provide informative content, showcase client testimonials, or introduce your services, videos are a powerful tool in your digital marketing arsenal. This step-by-step guide is designed to simplify the process of uploading and embedding videos within your PatientBase environment.

Step 1: Accessing the Video Widget

- Navigate to your Widgets menu in PatientBase.

- Scroll down to find the Video Widget.

- Drag the Video Widget to the desired location on your website, funnel, or course within PatientBase.

Step 2: Adding Your Video

- Upon placing the widget, a pop-up will appear asking for the video source.

- You can embed links from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or Loom. Alternatively, you can upload your videos directly into your account.

- To upload, click Select Video, which opens the video page.

Step 3: Uploading Videos

- Drag and drop your video files into the designated area. You can upload multiple videos simultaneously.

- Once the upload starts, you'll see the upload progress, e.g., "Uploading 1 of 1".

- While videos are being processed and encoded, you can use them immediately or wait until the encoding process is complete for playback.

Step 4: Embedding Videos

- After your video is uploaded, click to obtain the Embed Code.

- Copy this code.

- Return to the video source input in the Video Widget and paste the embed code.

- If the video is still processing, you'll receive a notification. However, you can continue to adjust its placement or add a thumbnail in the meantime.

Step 5: Customizing Video Appearance

- Optionally, add a thumbnail over your video by selecting and uploading an image.

- Adjust the video's placement and appearance as needed. If it's placed on a homepage and still processing, you should wait until processing is complete before saving.

Step 6: Saving Your Work

- Once satisfied with the video's placement and it has finished processing, click Save to apply the changes.

- If you're working on a project that can proceed without immediate video processing completion (like funnels or courses), you can save your progress, and the video will be ready shortly.

Step 7: Managing Uploaded Videos

- To access your uploaded videos, navigate back to the video section in PatientBase.

- Here, you can view all uploaded videos, grab direct links for sharing via email, access the embed code again, or open a direct link to the video.

Additional Tips

- Videos remain available in the backend even after removal from a page, allowing easy reuse across your PatientBase site.

Conclusion

Uploading and embedding videos in PatientBase enhances your website, funnels, and courses, providing a dynamic user experience. Follow these steps to integrate video content, and remember seamlessly that PatientBase support is always available for extra help. Happy uploading!
